Some of the regularities of change observable within normal behavior and communication by utilizing sound film are presented. Normal behavior displays a consistent harmony between speech and body motion which suggests a highly integrated organism. Somewhat differing and dyssynchronous patterns of regularity, observed in the behavior of 1 schizophrenic patient, were presented by way of contrast. The use of sound film and high-speed cameras in conjunction with the appropriate analyzing methods and instrumentation provides an observational microscope for the study of the regularities pervading behavior, both normal and pathological.
