Abstract
Fossils preserved in a quartzitic sandstone of the Kuibis beds from near Ham River, South West Africa, are considered to represent a double-walled Archaeocyathid. The mode of preservation is unusual for this phylum, and it is suggested that more complete specimens may occur in the calcareous members of these beds or in the succeeding Schwarzkalk. The age of the beds is considered to be Lower Cambrian. Keywords
