Abstract
Culex bitaeniorhynchus was the predominant species in bird-baited traps. Culex vishnui and Culex pseudovishnui were also common, but Culex tritaeniorhynchus did not enter these traps. C. pseudovishnui and C. vishnui were the most common species attracted to pigs in traps, and also in collections of mosquitoes caught biting pigs. C. bitaeniorhynchus, C. fuscocephalus and C. tritaeniorhynchus were also commonly attracted to pigs. When identical traps baited with birds and pigs were run simultaneously at the same site, C. tritaeniorhynchus entered only the pig-baited trap.
