Abstract
The article explores the viewpoints of executives in a midwestern industrial area regarding the participatory management practices. It was found that younger executives are more liberal. The results found that thirty six percent of those questioned favor voting as a means of decision making. Of those, all feel that once voting is allowed, the decision should be accepted by management. Ninety one percent of executives felt that the hiring of minorities is not an issue on which voting should be used as a decision making tool. They feel that hiring members of minority groups can take place only through leadership on the part of the top managers of organizations. Keywords
