Abstract
The phase diagram of the system cryolite‐alumina, from 0 to 18.5% alumina, was determined by quenching techniques. No compounds appeared and no solid solubility was detected on either side of the eutectic. The eutectic point was established at 10.5 weight % alumina at 961°C.Keywords
