Intrinsic States in Odd-ARhenium Isotopes

Abstract
The intrinsic structure of Re183, Re185, and Re187 has been studied using the (He3,d) and (α,t) reactions on targets of W182, W184, and W186. Transfer l values have been determined from angular distributions in the (He3,d) reaction, and from cross-section ratios in the two different proton stripping reactions. Spectroscopic factors have been obtained by comparison with distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations. The low-lying states are found to be well described by the Nilsson model, except that the 12+[400] and 112[505] intrinsic states show mixing with vibrational states. The results also indicate strong mixing of the 12+[400] and 32+[402] states with 12+[660] and 32+[651] states arising from the N=6i132 spherical state.
