Abstract
An account is given of the cadmium copper unit in a factory which has been handling this material since 1924. There is a description of the exhaust extraction unit. The clinical impressions of an Industrial Medical Officer who has looked after twenty-three men working in this section, are given. The reports of emphysema produced by inhalation of cadmium oxide fume are substantiated and a list is given of lung function test results compared with the presence or absence of proteinurea.
