Abstract
The rate of respiration of a given vol. of embryonic chick blood gradually decreases from the 14th-the 20th day of incubation. From this time until 29 days after the onset of incubation (the greatest age investigated) it remains virtually constant. Methylene blue shows no catalytic effect on the rate of respiration of embryonic chick blood. It will, however, counteract the inhibitory effect of KCN when present. Keywords
