Abstract
Field tests on transmission conductor vibration as affected by dampers and suspension clamps have been made in an attempt to find a solution to the important problem of stopping such vibration in an economical manner. This paper presents some data in regard to number and spacing of the ``Stockbridge'' type damper. The question of whether vibration is transmitted through or stopped by various types of suspension clamps also is discussed, and actual records of frequencies on both sides of suspension clamps shown. Keywords
