Abstract
Studies of the seasonal emergence of the apple maggot (Rhagoletis pomonella) during 1932 showed that over 37 per cent of the flies emerged from two-year old pupae. The peak of the emergence of these flies occurred eight days later than the normal brood which affected timing of sprays. Yeasts dried at 70-80., powdered and mixed with 3 or 4 parts of honey proved considerably more successful for rearing the adult fly than did yeast and honey when water was added. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
