Evidence for Antiferromagnetism in Invar at High Pressures

Abstract
A new phase, most probably antiferromagnetic, is revealed in Invar at high pressures by Mössbauer experiments. In Fe0.70 Ni0.30 the Néel temperature has a slope of +1.9±0.3°K/kbar with a zero-pressure intercept of - 41 ± 21°K.
