Abstract
A comparative study of two groups of patients with cataracts and high myopia was made. The percentage of patients with a visual acuity equal to or better than 20/40 (P less than .01) and normocorrections +/- 1 diopter (P less than .01) was significantly greater in the group with extracapsular cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation. Keywords
