Abstract
Ion temperature and rotation speed profiles will be measured spectroscopically on DIII‐D using charge‐exchange‐induced excitation of spectral lines. Compared to the spectroscopic system used on Doublet III, the DIII‐D system will have improved spatial and temporal resolution, reduced instrumental contribution to line broadening, and the capability to measure both toroidal and poloidal rotation. Keywords
