Abstract
Isotope dilution inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ID-ICP-MS) has been applied for the determination of Cd, Cu, Zn and Pb in KRISS B rice flour reference material, which was prepared using the unpolished rice collected from Nonsan, Korea. The ICP-MS instrument used for this work was a laboratory-built unit. The dissolution of rice flour sample was carried out by using a microwave digestion system. The concentrations of Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn in the KRISS B reference material were found to be 29.9ng/g, 33.9ng/g, 3.00μg/g and 22.6μg/g, respectively. In order to validate the analytical results of KRISS B sample, we also analyzed NIES 10-a and NIST 1568 reference materials by using the present method. The analysis results for Cd, Cu and Zn obtained in this work were in good agreement with their certified or recommended values within the limits of uncertainty. Keywords
