Abstract

The

J

dependence for

L = 2

transfer has been studied at

E_{α} = 28.8

MeV for the (

α, p

) reactions on

{}^{32}S

and

{}^{24}{Mg}

. The results are compared with previous

{}^{28}{Si} (α, p) {}^{31}P

data where no

J

dependence is observed for

L = 2

transfer.
