Abstract
Meckel’s diverticulum is the most common site of heterotopic gastric mucosa (HGM). Other sites include intestinal duplication and the small bowel proper. Tc-99m pertechnetate abdominal scintigraphy is used commonly to detect HGM. This article describes various scintigraphic patterns of HGM and reviews technical aspects of the procedure, with emphasis on pharmacologic enhancement. Keywords
