Abstract
A standardized technic for the Sabin-Feldman cytoplasm-modifying (dye) test for demonstration of antibodies to Toxoplasma is developed by eliminating or controlling variable factors. The activator is serum from suitable donors; the dye is a saturated alcoholic soln. of methylene blue; and the Toxoplasma suspensions are prepared from the peritoneal exudate of 8-to 10-weeks-old mice inoculated 3 days previously and used immediately. It is suggested that titers higher than the following figures may be significant: 0-10 yrs., 1:16; 10-20 yrs. 1:32; over 20 yrs. 1:64.Keywords
