Abstract
The red cell life span was measured in 10 adult draft horses, crossbred Percheron, by means of the di-isopropyl-phosphorofluoridate-p32 tracing technique. The results observed for this breed of horses, 147. 2 [plus or minus] 8. 2 days, are in good agreement with previous data reported on Thoroughbred horses using glycine-2-c14. It is suggested that this hematological value does not differ among the different breeds of horses. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
