MOUSE PATHOGENICITY OF TOXOPLASMA-GONDII ISOLATED FROM A GOAT

Abstract
Characteristics of T. gondii (strain GT-1) isolated from skeletal muscle of a goat were described. One oocyst, bradyzoite or tachyzoite of GT-1 strain was lethal to mice. Toxoplasma tachyzoites were found in the peritoneal exudates and in the lungs 9-34 days after infection in mice inoculated i.p. with tissues infected with strain GT-1.
