Gauge Invariance and the Born Approximation in Pion Electroproduction

Abstract
It is shown that use of the Ward-Takahashi identity for the electromagnetic vertices of the hadrons gives a more satisfactory argument than the traditional one for the addition of subtraction terms to the Born approximation of pion electroproduction.Keywords
