Abstract
The basic concepts of fractals are briefly reviewed and are then shown to apply cardiac functions. It is demonstrated that some of the same principles govern both lightning discharge and cardiac flow; fractal expressions are provided for each. Fractal behavior in other biological phenomena, including transport (practical kinetics), population growth cycles, and turbulence, is touched on.< >Keywords
