Abstract
A method of analysis is presented which shows the role played by collector current density in the design of homopolar generator energy stores (electro-mechanical capacitors). For a required energy storage capacity and peak current, it is shown how the designer may obtain some guidance in the selection of this parameter for five homopolar generator geometries. Keywords
