Abstract
Two of 6 laboratory-reared Physa sayii exposed to miracidia of Heronimus chelydrae developed typical sporocysts possessing pulsatile lateral branches. Sporocysts were recovered 24 and 36 days post-exposure. Five of 13 laboratory-reared Physa gyrina also were positive. P. savii is the 3d physid now known capable of harboring the sporocyst generation of the turtle lung fluke.
