Abstract
Serum triglycerides were determined on 228 individuals. Out of these, 101 were excluded and the remainder, 71 males and 56 females, all of whom were healthy, were employed for calculation of normal values. The serum triglyceride values were determined by an enzymatic glycerol determination. Higher values were encountered in males aged 40–49 years than for the other age groups. No definite variation attributable to age was demonstrated in females. Only in the age group 40 to 59 years were significantly higher values encountered in males than in females. A group of overweight males had higher values than those of normal weight. Keywords
