Abstract
Health-related quality of life refers to components of health status assessments – that is, physical, cognitive, affective, social, economic, and ego or personality-oriented aspects (PCASEE) of medical disorders. Whereas medical measurements of the PCASEE profile are attempts to identify objective indicators, the quality of life measurements identify subjective indicators. Self-rating scales are therefore relevant for quality of life assessments.
