Abstract
It is possible to separate the epimeric heptonolactones obtained by cyanohydrin synthesis on D-glucose, D-mannose and 3-O-methyl-D-glucose by chromatography on cellulose. The chromatographically separated lac tones have presumably been obtained in a purer state than previously described, and therefore also the 3-0-methyl-D-glycero-D-ido-heptono-[delta]-lactone was obtained crystalline. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
