Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiography in Korean Patients

Abstract
Visualisation of the biliary ducts was achieved in approximately 75% of all cases and in approximately 90% of cases with dilated ducts. Four developed signs of peritoneal irritation and one a moderate hemoperitoneum, necessitating immediate operation. There were no post-operative complications and all made uneventful recoveries. No other complications were encountered and there were no fatalities. All successful examinations gave valuable information unobtainable except by operation. Cases are shown differing from those usually seen in western countries.
