Non-Porous Silica Supports for High Performance Liquid Chromatography

Abstract
The physical and chromatographic properties of two types of non-porous HPLC support materials were examined. Loading capacities of non-porous supports were about 10 fold less than of wide-pore gels, while their physical strength was much greater, suggesting that non-porous supports could be useful for polymer separations. Such materials appeared to be less suitable for low-molecular-weight solutes, except for fundamental retention studies, where the absence of pore structure offers a less ambiguous support matrix.This publication has 30 references indexed in Scilit:
