Abstract
In this case there were no eyes, no optic nerves, chiasma or optic tracts. The extraocular muscles and orbits were normal. In the brain the lateral geniculate bodies showed no lamination; there was deficient development of the left cerebral hemisphere, and hydro-cephalus affected the lateral and 3rd ventricles and aqueduct, but not the 4th ventricle. The case is regarded as one of primary anophthalmla, unique in that the subject, a female, lived for 68 years. Keywords
