Abstract
In an energy-dependent phase-shift analysis of all scattering data below MeV, we find a large breaking of charge independence in the coupling constants and . For 495 degrees of freedom we obtain and . A combined analysis, including also all scattering data below MeV, results in for 840 degrees of freedom. We then obtain . The effect of such large values for is most strikingly seen in the waves. The phase shifts at MeV are much larger than those of our phase-shift analyses.
