Abstract
Recent progress in plasma physics has stimulated research on the universal potential applicable for low energy and light ion collisions. First, assessing typical potentials by comparing them with the experimental results of ICISS, we have found that the potential proposed by Ziegler et al. is the most appropriate. We have proposed an approximation formula of the cross-section of Ziegler's universal potential expression, which enables the total cross-section, nuclear stopping, etc. to be derived analytically. Keywords
