Abstract
The potential variations in the spinal cord of frogs were recorded by a Siemens'' valve model electrocardiograph with pre- amplifier. After removal of the brain and division of the afferent and efferent nerves close to the spinal cord, the activity declined considerably but did not disappear. On the basis of these investigations one can conclude that there exists a continuous interaction between the spinal cord and the peripheral organs, even when they are in a state of complete rest. Keywords
