Abstract
The absolute energies of the Lyman- lines of hydrogenlike iron have been measured with an accuracy of 90 ppm with use of a high-precision plane-crystal spectrometer calibrated directly with Co x rays. A value for the Lamb shift of hydrogenlike iron has been deduced from this measurement.
