Abstract
Single particle distribution are investigated in the multiperipheral model. Our result says that in the small x region (|x| ≤0.2), the distribution functions depend on ma2x2θ(x)(mb2x2θ(-x)) and mc2+k⊥2, where a(b) is the projectile (target) and c is the detected secondary. The x- and k⊥2-dependences of the distribution functions are more sensitive for smaller mc2 and larger ma2(mb2). There features are supported by experimental data, and our model fits the data on both the transversal and longitudinal momentum distributions in the following collisions quite well: π++p→π-+ “X”, K+p→π+ “X”, p+p→π+ “X”, γ+p→π+ “X”, p+p→K+ “X”, K++p→K̅0+ “X” and γ+p→K+ “X”. The K/π ratio becomes 0.11, which is also in good agreement with the present experimental results.
