Abstract

The acid-catalysed reactions of 7α,8α-epoxyisopimar-15-ene (9) and 7β,8β-epoxyisopimar-15-ene(10) are described. No tetracyclic products were identified among the products from these reactions, and the requirements for such cyclization reactions are discussed.
