Pathology and Etiology in Multiple Sclerosis: A Review

Abstract
A review of the pathology and theoretical causes of multiple sclerosis is presented. Patchy areas of demyelination are described and related to clinical symptoms. Etiological theories relate to climatic factors, cultural influence, familial incidence, blood-related factors, cerebrospinal fluid, viral infections, and pregnancy.
