Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 39-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of jaundice.Since the age of 14 years he had experienced recurrent episodes of epigastric pain accompanied by nausea, with occasional vomiting but without fever, that required repeated admission to other hospitals. X-ray studies showed multiple pancreatic calcifications. Two years before entry a low-fat diet was prescribed but was without benefit. Six months before admission there was the onset of a steady, dull pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, with radiation to the right subscapular region.
