Abstract
Radiosurgery is a treatment for brain tumorsand other lesions which employs a moving beam of photonradiation. In robotic radiosurgery, the radiation source ismoved by a six degree-of-freedom robotic arm. A treatmentplanning system for robotic radiosurgery was developed. This planning system combines collision avoidancetechniques and geometric algorithms for finding appropriaterobot paths and beam activation profiles. The followingdesign goals characterize our application: (1) ability to...Keywords
