Abstract
Since the first description of penicillin-resistant pneumococci nearly 30 years ago, drug-resistance has become widespread throughout the world. This review focuses upon the in vitro susceptibility of penicillin-susceptible and -resistant pneumococci to new and existing agents. Keywords
