Abstract
A critical aspect of any quality control program is the definition of criteria for “satisfactory’ performance of analytical methods. These criteria should address both expected accuracy and expected precision of the methods, as well as any variation in these figures of merit from one sample type to another. Development of appropriate criteria and their application to analytical programs for the characterization of new reference samples is presented. Keywords
