Abstract
The (, ) reaction has been studied on targets of , , , , and and finite-range distorted-wave calculations have accounted well for the extreme dependences (arising from angular momentum mismatch) of the cross sections, yielding spectroscopic factors in good agreement with spectroscopic factors extracted from light-ion-induced reactions. This agreement is interpreted as an indication that the heavy-ion-induced proton transfer reaction - when it populates states of strong single-particle character - can be well understood within the framework of the distorted-wave theory.
