Abstract
The dependency of the polymer yield on dose rate and total dose during the irradiation of glucose was investigated; the yield of polymer fell off logarithmically with increased dose rate. Different polymers having suffered varying degrees of radiation damage are produced under differing conditions. The effects of barium carbonate, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen on polymer yield and structure were investigated. Polymers from certain related compounds were isolated. Keywords
