Abstract
Summary Administration of polymyxin B releases chiefly histamine from tissues. When rats are depleted of histamine by increasing doses of polymyxin B, the ulcerogenic property of prednisolone is unimpaired. This seems to rule out mediation of histamine in the pathogenesis of steroid induced ulcers, at least in the rat. Keywords
