Abstract
The dietary effectiveness of Fe-fructose chelate was compared with FeSO4 using the criteria of total Fe analyses and histologic staining on liver and spleen of rats. The ferric-fructose was more rapidly absorbed and deposited in the tissues. The importance of chelation phenomena in metal transport is discussed. Keywords
