Abstract
An outline of the theory of generalized colour symmetry of crystals modulated by charge or spin density waves is given. The method of colour symmetry gives the language equivalent to the representation method for the description, classification and prediction of all the possible electrical and magnetic structures of crystals and for the classification of the structural phase transitions. Keywords
