On a Standard Temperature for Clinical Enzymology

Abstract
The need for a standard temperature for clinical enzyme assays is discussed. The inadequacy of temperature correction factors is demonstrated and from this it is inferred that reaction and standard temperature must be the same. The advantages and disadvantages of various temperatures are examined and it is concluded that 37°C is the most practical of the alternatives.Keywords
