Abstract
The performance of a likelihood ratio processor must often be determined via computer simulation. This correspondence suggests an effective method of calculating the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) that avoids emphasizing the upper tail region of the likelihood ratio's estimated probability density function. A specific example is presented. Keywords
