Abstract
L'article expose le débat médico-légal sur l'internement et évalue les récents apports scientifiques dans ce domaine. On constate que les enquêtes scientifiques n'ont pas apporté grand-chose d'important au débat. On propose de poursuivre la recherche dans l'espoir qu'un plus grand concours scientifique contribue à désamorcer la vive querelle entre partisans et détracteurs du processus d'internement, dans l'intérêt d'une proportion appréciable de nos malades mentaux.Keywords
