Abstract
CARCINOMA of the lip is a common tumor that is readily diagnosed and can nearly always be cured if properly treated soon after it develops. A difference of opinion has existed in the literature about whether radiation or surgery is the preferred method of treatment. We have a representative number of cases, some treated surgically and some radiologically, and hope by an analysis of each group to indicate the relative value of the two methods.During the twelve-year period from 1938 through 1950, 225 patients with cancer of the lip were seen in the Cancer Section of the Westfield State . . .Keywords
