Abstract

Two algae, Tabellaria fenestrata var. geniculata A. Cleve, a diatom and Coelastrum reticulatum var. polychordon Korschik, a green alga, are described from Lake Huron and recorded for the 1st time for the US. Their distribution in Lake Huron is related to known current circulation patterns and water masses of the lake. Charts indicate their distribution for 3 synoptic surveys.
